I came across this post today, and here’s what I would say:

Sometimes you’ve gotta have tough conversations, give a reality check, and that’s part of the grind. It’s important to explain to your partner—clearly and often—the road you’re on and how it’s going to impact both of your lives. When you’re sacrificing your time and energy, they’re sacrificing something too, like your presence. They’re missing a part of you.

But let’s be real—sometimes, the other person just can’t handle it. Maybe their goals don’t align with yours, and that’s okay. Not everyone is built the same, and not every relationship will survive this kind of pressure. It’s tough, but sometimes the best decision you can make is to let go.

Most of us have been stuck in relationships, jobs, or situations where we felt like leaving would be the end of us. But guess what? When we finally left, it wasn’t the end. It was a new beginning, and it often led to something better. So, if you’re putting in the work and someone’s not on board, you have to make a hard choice—either get them to see the vision or move on.

Nothing great comes easy, but nothing is worth burning yourself down for either.
